MidJourney V4 VS Dall-E2 — Same Prompt, Different Results

On November 5, 2022, MidJourney began the alpha testing of its latest V4 model, which is currently available to subscribed users on Discord. The update improves in detail, composition, and realism over its predecessor.

But how does it compare to OpenAI’s Dall-E2?

In this article, I’m going to do a comparison between the two competing AI image generators using similar text prompts.

When it comes to realism, Dall-E2 is still king. Even though MidJourney's V4 has made improvements to the photorealism, it's still clear that the results are made by a bot.

However, there are a few exceptions; I've seen a couple of new V4 results where the realism was impressively good. But for this example, I have to give it to Dall-E2.
