Celebrating 20K Followers!
The first time I published my Medium article in September 2021, I was a complete newcomer to the world of writing. I had zero experience, no existing audience, and no idea what I was getting myself into.
I was just a regular programmer who happened to be fascinated by generative AI. It never crossed my mind that writing about such a technical and niche topic could lead to anything big.
Fast forward to today, and I’m blown away to see that my follower count has grown to 20,000. It’s an incredible feeling, and all I want to do right now is write a thank you post to all my amazing readers and share a bit about my journey over the past few years.
How did I grow my followers?
The first time I saw exponential growth in my followers was in July 2022, when I published an article titled “AI Reimagines 10 Harry Potter Characters Based on Book Descriptions.” It was the same month when OpenAI released Dall-E2, its popular AI-powered text-to-image generator tool.
At the time, I only wanted to show how cool it was that an AI tool could interpret characters based only on their book descriptions. I didn’t have high expectations for the virality of the article. However, it surprisingly gained traction, accumulating over 150,000 views.
